Oh, I agree. I'm not saying it's right. It can get downright brutal. I'm just simply saying that I believe it's present with most of the popular properties, which is unfortunate. The Ghostbusters thing was fricking insane.

I agree and I think the still shots don't do him justice.

The same clips we have of his mannerisms and speech and laugh are awesome.

I can't wait.

If they put Jason Todd as the Joker instead of Red Hood, I dont know if comic book fans would nerd out or nerd rage. Since it is DC, probably the nerd rage.

I'd nerd out like a mother fricker.

Especially if it means we will finally get Dick Grayson and Nightwing in the Affleck stand alone.

Nightwing is my second all time favorite super hero and he's never been done justice as a live action movie.

Under the red hood was amazing though.

But a funny thing happens while these scumbags try to become heroes – they each must absolve themselves of their crimes even if society won’t. And that’s where it gets interesting. A layer of humanity – and sadness – resides underneath these characters’ stories as they each grapple with whether they can be redeemed.

So, pretty much the Thunderbolts? Might watch.

I'm interested, but I really hope the tone of the movie is like Guardians of the Galaxy.

I like most of it, I just can't stand that "Rejected" tattoo. It's so over the freaking top.

You mean damaged? I agreee that it looks terrible, but it'll supposedly be explained in the film. Rumor has it Harley tatted that on him after one of their fights.

Deadshot (Will Smith)
An assassin-for-hire by day, a concerned dad by night, Deadshot is one conflicted baddie who enjoys the hunt but is still trying to do right by his young daughter.

quote:

Jared Leto's Joker is different than any we've seen before—less theatrical than Jack Nicholson, more unhinged than Heath Ledger—but no less psychotic. Despite all his power, this Clown Prince of Crime is having difficulty reuniting with true love Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie)—a rift that has left him agitated and...well, slightly sad.

quote:

Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie)
The manipulative psychiatrist-turned-obsessive-in-love Harley Quinn unites the squad as much as she messes with their minds.

quote:

Amanda Waller (Viola Davis)
Don't screw with U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller. Ambitious and devious, she has big plans, and no meta-human or military protocol is going to get in her way.

quote:

Boomerang (Jai Courtney)
Rugged, unpredictable, and mouthy, this explosive Aussie seems up for anything, especially a cold beer.

quote:

Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje)
Cannibalism aside, this resident of the Belle Reve prison sewer is quite the team player, especially when water is involved.

Capt Boomerang and Killer Croc look great, IMO.

Does anyone know why Terrebonne Parish was chosen in their origin story? I've always wondered this. Also, I can't help but think how much better this already good looking movie would be if Will Smith wasn't involved. Not a knock to his acting skills but this should be rated R.

If you string together all the images of this movie that have been released, you probably have the entire film.

God I hate the look of the Joker so badly in this movie. He is such an iconic character and this is so far from the standard look that it will be very jarring for me.

If the Lex character from BvS would have been an original character, I don't know if it gets near the hate.

So much of this movie looks good, but I worry that WB still doesn't trust the source material enough. It is the same thing with Fox. Their movies (the X-Men franchise) typically are very good but are so far from the comics that I have trouble enjoying it.

BvS (for me) did the same thing and I worry this will be no different.

Man, Croc just keeps looking better and better.

The first few images looked like he was the rubber suited Gorn that chased Captain Kirk around that rock quarry.

Box Office: 'Suicide Squad' Tracking for Enormous $125M U.S. Debut

quote:

If early tracking is any indication, the Warner Bros. and DC superhero movie could open to an enormous $125 million in its North American debut when unfurling over the Aug. 5-7 weekend. Some box-office analysts believe it could even climb higher but stress it's still early in the game.

If it gets great reviews I can see it doing 140-150 opening weekend. The hype for this film is unreal.

My only concern is people will be disappointed expecting Batman to be in it more. I think I've heard he's only in it for 10 minutes. Which is fine with me, I just hope the trailers don't give people the impression that he's going to be any kind of major role. But you're right, buzz is good and I'm excited. This time hopefully I'll walk away happy.

yes, i would really enjoy not cringing in the theater for 2 hrs and wanting to pluck my eyes out with my neighbors fingers as I did during BvS.

Deliver us from Snyder, Ayers. please!

But in all seriousness, this movie does look very promising. Will Smith doesnt even look bad to me. im excited for it.

Would anyone like to see a Dick Grayson / Agent 37 angle woven into this story? There was speculation that Scott Eastwood's character would turn out to be Grayson working under-cover to infiltrate Waller's organization at Bruce Wayne's behest, but it doesn't seem likely. That might be one story element too-many for an initial Suicide Squad movie. My guess is that Batman / Bruce Wayne's limited involvement in this film is to (1) help frame the Joker's place in the DC film universe and (2) set up a future Suicide Squad storyline where Batman is their primary target.
