Geoff Johns, who is the Chief Creative Officer of DC and also the writer of The Flash and Arrow episodes.
That's a great move by DC.

It is.

I've enjoyed the animated movies he's worked on lately.

In my opinion, why even do another Batman story after Christopher Nolan's epic trilogy?

One good movie sandwiched between a mediocre and legit bad one. Nolan's movies aren't the end-all, be-all of Batman movies.

I'd like to see an adaptation of Prey.

I'd like to see older Batman as he's meant to be: A true detective.

A "crime story" that we know Affleck can do would be awesome.

agreed. Geoff Johns is DC Comics. The guy has turned around so many books and creates really amazing events. He grew up as a fan boy and has a real appreciation for the characters. Got to intern with him for a minute. Really smart and creative dude.

In theory the older and more experienced Affleck could knock this out of the park if they play it right. If they play it right.

Look, Geoff Johns has created some golden moments in comics and in mass media... he's also laid his share of eggs. If both Johns and Affleck show up with their A game we could have a movie just as good as the one good Batman movie Nolan directed.

If they don't... well... it could get really ugly.

Agree. Prey would be stellar on film, but you'd have to shift the timeframe. Shouldn't be too hard.

Agree. We know BA does well with heist and detective flicks and that's exactly what I want a Batman movie to be.

Maybe get Reznor to score it. Differentiate from Nolan there.

I'd like to see him go against the court of owls or Azrael or the royal flush gang

Very excited about this. I agree that Affleck is more than capable of making an excellent "detective" Batman series. And it's being reported that we're getting a new BvS trailer tomorrow

Casting Christian Bale as Jean-Paul Valley would be pure genius.
