I also just read on IMDb that it's 145 minutes long. That's a good sign to me. It'll need to be that long to get all the awesomeness on screen.

I understood the ending but it was dumb. I fully believe that within 5 years there would be a documentary made called Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father

David Fincher's directing + Trent Reznor's score = perfection

I own both The Social Network and Girl With The Dragon Tattoo soundtracks. I will own this one as well.

Looks like Flynn and Fincher will depart from the book's third act.

What kind of discussion did you guys have about not revealing spoilers? Since there's a big twist in the book, and Gillian Flynn changed the third act for the film version ...

I think if you look at the trailer, there's some moments where you think, "Wait a minute ... I know the book said this, but the trailer is taking it in a whole different direction!" So David has his own way of telling the story. Whether you've read the book or not, I think it's going to surprise people.

very mild spoilers in Tyler Perry interview on his part

No. Doubt.

At this point, even if the movie ending were the same as the book ending - which, BTW, would blow collective non-book-reader audiences' minds - it would be a surprise. By leaking so early that the movie ending will be different than the book ending, that sets up an endless number of possibilities, any of which will be surprising and - with Fincher - awesome. No one has any idea what to expect!

I get a shot of adrenaline every time I think about this movie.
