Update: Deadline adds that Ridley Scott is producing Blomkamp’s Alien film, which is set after the events of Prometheus 2. There is currently no script for either project.

"It's a sequel....wait no. It's a prequel, but not a prequel. It's in the Alien Universe, but it will have nothing to do with the Aliens or how they became so. Wait it will...."

"Wait no it won't. No it's a prequel, that is inspired by the Alien, takes place in the universe, but has nothing to do with Alien movies. Yeah that's it."

"Let's get Damon Lindelhof...He'll take our inspired-by as a prequel, non- sequel mythology movie and make it better!"

I'd be more excited about this if Elysium wasn't bad and Chappie didn't look like trite.

I hope they elaborate more on the Jesus was an alien point from the first one.

I liked Promotheus and am looking forward to the sequel but I'm more excited for this because it looks like it will have Ripley and Hicks. Not sure how that would fit into the timeline though.

I wonder how he can make an Alien film a thinly veiled allegory for some ultra liberal issue.

I'm guessing the Aliens are transgender.

Evidently Ripley is Benjamin Button and ages backwards

Aliens is my favorite movie of all time. Everything after it sucked. Blokamp's involvement is the only reason I'd be interested in this.

And of course it will star Sharlto Copley.

Ya gotta admit, you may have hated Elysium, but you loved Kruger.
