What do you think this guy did in his pre-apocalyptic life? I haven't read the comics to the point of his arrival as a character. I don't buy what is listed in this webpage that shows what he did.

To me he seems like a used car salesman or crappy lawyer. What do you think?

He's a schoolteacher. He teaches English composition... in this little town called Adley, Pennsylvania. The last eleven years, he's been at Thomas Alva Edison High School. He was a coach of the baseball team in the springtime. Back home, he told people what he did for a living and they thought well, now that figures. But over here, it's a big, a big mystery. So, I guess he's changed some. Sometimes he wonders if he's changed so much his wife is even going to recognize him, whenever it is that he gets back to her. And how he'll ever be able to tell her about days like today.

The page is real and spoilery. As a reader, I confirm it.

When you think about it. It really really makes a lot of sense. And that's all I'm saying until the show broaches it.

If there was a Pulitzer for forum postings, this would be the clear leader.

I think they are going to make him ex military. By the way he talked to Olivia about losing track of weapons he said "that shite is life and death". Sounds like a NCO to me.

From your link:

He also worked as a used-car salesman, presumably as a part time occupation

There is a serial comic that explores Negan's backstory. You can find them on YouTube. There are 7 parts so far.
