I love Parks & Rec and there is almost no doubt Comminity will be done after this year. The thing that might save Parks is that NBC clearly has nothing else. With 30 Rock, The Office, Up All Night and probably Community being done they may give Parks another year.

Nah probably just replace it with a ripoff of Two Broke Girls

Heck even the Chase about the female marshall was given the boot for no reason and did very well in the ratings.

That's the one I was talking about! The blonde that's on SVU now.

How can a network improve ratings? Put on something good.

See, I don't think a ONE shot idea works, at least not in an isolated sense. You have to have a target, cultivate that target, and aim for it. CBS guns for Middle America and Old Folks. None of their shows are particularly clever or interesting, or even high brow, but they attact an audience, a large one.

ABC aims for upper middle class and Young families, and again, they do that rather well.

At one point, NBC had the young demographic well, the 90s Thursday night line up retained like 15 million viewers through 3 or 4 shows, it was a brilliant lineup.

And they COULD have motivated the lineup. How about a Chuck+Community+Parks and Rec Two hour block?

I feel like last nights Community was taking a shot at the CBS crowd with Pierce in the focus group. Best part of the episode really

NBC is the retards who will replace them with Animal Practice

Not the worst show NBC debut this year. It actually was better than it looked like it would be and they didn't feature the monkey as much as the previews indicated. But there were some really funny people on that show and it had more potential than Guys With Kids or New Normal.

Seriously, I began watching Go On a few months ago because it was promoted during the Olympics. I think it's great. But if it gets canceled because of lack of viewership, oh well. It's the job of both the show and network to keep a show going.

You realize Go On is pretty much a blatant rip off of Community, with all of the rough edges sanded off? I don't mind Go On, but I can see why it gets better ratings -- it is aggressively mediocre. So much of what is on TV, even during this the Golden Age, is intentionally bland mediocrities. They are designed to entertain with a minimal amount of engagement from the viewer.

It is precisely the things which make a show bad that will get it better ratings. People, as a group, want bland things that are not challenging. That's why Applebee's is a more popular restaurant than that really good Thai place on the corner.

I hope some of you realize that the attitudes on this board can turn some people off of watching those shows (Community, Parks and Rec, etc)

The CW is developing a lot of sci-fi/fantasy shows next year and seem to be moving beyond the teenage girl shows the use to air.... It would be something if The CW beat NBC next year!

Not if you're already watching them like you're supposed to.
