MTV Scripted Shows - Anyone else enjoy them as a guilty pleasure?

Awkward
Teen Wolf
Faking It

All pretty top notch in my opinion for mindless, short television.

I do know Awkward usually gets a season long thread, but Faking It was my latest binge watch.

I'm expressly excluding the "scripted" reality shows.

Totally forgot about Undressed. It was pretty legit.

I've never heard of Eye Candy.

Eye Candy starts in a few weeks. Its about Victoria Justice playing some mysterious hacker tracking down bad guys.

Undressed was an awesome way to pass time during the summer in high school.

The MTV version was never going to live up to the British version. They just can't put the stuff on TV here that they can over there, and it was badly miscast.

There was a huge backlash by a few conservative groups about the portrayal of rampant drug use and teen sex (stemming from what happened in the UK where "Skins" parties became popular).

Due to low ratings and backlash, MTV quickly pulled the plug. It sucked, because the British version is one of my all-time favorites.

I can honestly say that I have not put my television on MTV in 12-13 years. Is TRL still a thing?

If it is, then I don't know. I never catch any of these shows live. I Hulu/Amazon Prime them all.

I used to watch Undressed back in the day, when I was a teen.

I don't watch the scripted shows now but I'm a sucker for Catfish/Teen Mom/Challenge shows.

I don't feel bad about watching the Challenge shows because half of the people on that show are older than me.

I just remember them hyping the hell out of it.
