Good first two episodes but I remember liking season one better when they were hackers
Yea, I really liked that aspect of the show.

But the premise seems to really be about Elliot vs Mr Robot, and for me, I'm just not that interested in that.

On that note, Season 2 has been a major disappointment for me, and I find myself not paying attention here and there, not intentionally but my mind just wanders off which is never a good sign for a show.

I wasn't quite as interested either but now looking at the season as a whole; I will say Sam esmail did it intentionally.

I say this because the ending was great for this past episode. I think things are just heating up.

I agree with you and feel the same way. The first few episodes were boring as hell but they seem to be setting something else up. Hopefully they will ramp it up with the hacking and moving again.

Craig Robinson is a strange character so far too. He seems to know what is going on with Elliot and pseudo encouraging him to return with some of his quips.

I felt that was the best episode of the season. Looks like business is about to pick up a bit.

And I'm guessing that Berenstain is a reference the Berenstain/Berenstein Bears conspiracy theory.

If you notice, Casper tells Darlene the FBI is using something called "BerenSTEIN" to illegally monitor them. But when Darlene tells Elliot in the IRC chat she types out "BerenSTAIN".

I think it was intended this way. When Rami Malek read the script for Season 2 his comment was something like: "Wow, this is the direction he [Sam] is taking it? But I trust him bc it turns out amazing" I think they went so balls to the wall season 1 that they wanted to take some time and fill in Elliot's back story.

That said, I can really care less any time Angela is on screen. Maybe that plot will get better but even with White Rose and Price on the phone I just don't care hardly at all anymore about her whole thing. It's just like, they took down Evil Corp pretty much, and we are still supposed to care about the plant and the trial, etc?

prison theory

It feels more like a mental institution to me, but either way he is locked up somewhere, to me that's obvious.

We don't see him (in current time) in any other setting than the same 3-4 places (bball court, Ray's office, generic diner lunchroom, Krista's office) and with Darlene saying "I'll never understood why you did this" and Elliot having to go out of his way to gain computer access makes it even more plausible.

yeah exactly. i think its pretty much confirmed that this point. a lot of people still reject that notion though.

the berenstain vs berenstein thing is brilliant to throw into the show.

eta: that berenstain real world theory is nuts. i find it hilarious that people use that as proof of alternate realities.

One of the widespread theories is that we are stuck in a simulation or alternate reality and the Berenste[A}in thing was a hacker who went back in time to alter that specfic thing to give us clues and wake us up

I love Mr. Robot for including that

I love it. The whole idea of the Mandela Effect is fascinating to me.
