This one seems pretty good for it's time. Nice buildup in that scene!

I've always been the most freaked out by the things that could actually happen- a la murderer in the house or rob zombie slasher type films

And my other answer was Jaws. That movie fricked me up for real, and sort of for life. I used to get a little freaked out swimming in a swimming pool at night because in the back of my mind I knew that in the water I wasn't shite to a shark. In the ocean is even worse (though I do love being in the ocean). But when I'm at the beach in the water, there isn't a minute that goes by that I don't have sharks in the back of my mind. That has a lot to do with Jaws.
Same for me. Really was hesitant to go in the deep end as a kid and would hardly ever swim in the Gulf. Even at 30 years old I still don't like going deeper than about knee deep in the Gulf. That shite scarred me for life

I was about 12 when the Original Halloween came out. It was the first scary movie I saw in the theater

Plenty of the twilight zone episodes spooked me good. They were so great in developing a creepy atmosphere.

I can agree with that and I think a show called Night Gallery use to give me the heebie jeebies

but literal scare the HELL out of me, it's Halloween and Halloween only. I still freak out over certain type of masks

I saw Jurassic Park when I was real little and had nightmares where I would wake up to take a poo and while I was sitting on the toilet, a giant T-Rex would bust down the walls around the bathroom and eat me.

The death scene of The Joker in the first Tim Burton Batman movie creeped me out big time.

I watched the original When A Stranger Calls when I was 8 at a friends house. I've never been more scared by a movie in my life. I had a lot of trouble sleeping for awhile after that.

It's Alive - damn killer baby shite

Silver Bullet - Werewolves are my numero uno nightmare material, big, powerful, no reasoning with them, you're just fricked.

Nightmare on Elm Street - I had nightmares for weeks about the scene where his arms get really long and scratch the walls

Puppet Master - frick dolls and puppets

There was a movie maybe a Tv movie that had an old wheelchair in the attic that was of course haunted and it would move by itself, old wheelchairs are creepy and this scared the shite out of me.

The Fog: the original scared the hell out of me as a kid.

The only movie that has ever legitimately scared me was Ernest Scared Stupid. Saw it in the 2nd grade and I would wake up in the middle of the night with nightmares almost 4 months after seeing the movie. It was a fricking comedy.

To this day I remember almost nothing about the movie, except that it scared the frick out of me.

Oddly enough, large marge scared the hell out of me too. And whoever it was whose eyes cartoonishly popped out in that movie.

Def can't bring myself to watch either that one or Ernest Scares Stupid all the way through in present day. A different time, I guess.

When I was really little...like around 5...I was terrified of this:

I don't like horror flicks and rarely, if ever, watch them...so the only other one I remember scaring me was The Ring...but I was 12 or 13 when that came out.

Solid list right here: LINK
