Where the red fern grows.
Beginning of Up.
And not a movie scene but the end of the episode Jurassic Bark in Futurama.

Took to many pages to get to About Time, but I think I'm the fifth who is gonna say it. Freaking waterworks. If you love your Dad, do yourself a favor and watch this movie. What's funny is women don't seem to get it. At all. I was balling crying and my wife was like "wtf is wrong with you?"

The beginning of Up was sad and made me tear up. THIS is what made me just absolutely lose it.

You beat me to it. The last 15 minutes had me balling thinking of kid watching the videos to learn about his dad. Very under rated movie.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but the hospital scene in Remember the Titans after Burtere gets in the car accident always gets me. "You can't be hurt...you're Superman".

John Q, when he's talking to his son on the phone and when he talks to him in person before he was about to sacrifice himself for his son.

That was little Ronnie Howard's mother playing the role of Blanch Lovell, BTW. Pretty much every Howard with a SAG card got at least an extra role in the film, except Opie who directed the thing.

I've read through this entire post and I don't think I've seen anyone mention when G-baby died in Hardball (gets me everytime) and when Denzel Washington's character in John Q agrees to sacrifice himself for his son...very very emotional

Since I've been a dad, almost anything can make me tear up.

Armageddon when Bruce Willis pulls Affleck out and sends him home. Ben Affleck screaming about "HARRY!!! HARRY I LOVE YOU!!!!!" Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiit.

The scene in Toy Story 3 at the landfill when they stop trying to climb out and come to terms with their fate. That was the biggest gut punch I've ever felt at a movie.

Most recently, in This is Where I Leave You (very underrated movie by the way) All that family stuff really got me.

Not sad - angry at Bruce. frick that. I told both my girls after watching that terrible movie, "Girls - you see what happened right there? That's a tragedy. That's not the father of her children. That's not even her husband. That's her boyfriend. I promise you - if a similar situation comes up - I'M coming back, not your boyfriend. You can always go out and get another boyfriend. You only have one father."

This made me laugh really really hard
