Herbie Stemple on Quiz Show- guy basically has the attitude and intellect of the prototypical OT-er, but man did he get screwed by those guys at NBC.
Actually just re-watched this because it's on Netflix.
So I call bullshite. He didn't get screwed. He was made a star (they gave him the answers) and he was ungrateful at the end.
This loser wanted to be the only star forever.
His character is insufferable.
A total crybaby whiny child who gets his toys taken away and then rats everyone else out because he's not the cool guy anymore.
He took the money and fame when it suited him...but when they took it away he ratted out others - who could have enjoyed what he had.
He was a selfish ugly character and one of those...the world owes me people. A past tense welfare baby.
But John Turturro does a great job portraying what a loser a-hole rat schmuck this guy was.

Michael Corleone : The guy did it all to protect his family, but that ungrateful family left him and he died alone.

I feel bad for both Woody and Cliff in Cheers
The episode where Woody is trying to organize a fishing trip with Norm and Cliff and they keep giving him the runaround

Yeah but...he's trying to be best friends with barflys.
That's a no win proposition.
And he chose to work in a bar amongst drunks and losers.
