There are some good ones on the lists-
The 2 beat sounds of Law and Order- are pretty recognizable

What about cartoons- scoobydoo, bugs bunny, sponge bob

top three IMO

The Andy Griffith Show
Cheers
Law & Order

Some of the others listed may not as recognizable to people under 25 I think - I'm not sure how many know the Jetsons, Gilligan's Island, the Beverly Hillbillies, or even The Brady Bunch.

The Jefferson's
Sanford and Son
All in the Family
Cheers
The Beverly Hillbillys
The Brady Bunch
Gilligan's Isle
The Addam's Family
MASH
The Simpsons

Those are probably the most easily recognized.

ETA: would have to add Friends and Fresh Prince for newer gen. There's a whole bunch of good ones in other responses.

I think #1 is Cheers. If you can find someone who doesn't recognize that song, I'll be surprised.

Does it count if the theme mentions the name of the show?

Regardless, how The Simpsons has only been mentioned twice baffles me. The show's been on the air for 20+ years.

Depends on the age. My teenage kids don't know it. If you're going for all ages I think that these are still well known by kids today:

The Fresh Prince (everyone not only recognizes the song, they know the words)
The Brady Bunch
Happy Days
Scooby Doo
