Michelle Rodriguez is threatening to leave the "Fast & Furious" franchise if they don't "show some love to the women" in the series.
The actress shared her thoughts on Instagram saying "I just might have to say goodbye to a loved franchise" over what she hinted is a lack of appreciation for the female roles in the films.
She did not clarify if her post had anything to do with her salary for the films.
She did add, "It's been a good ride & Im grateful for the opportunity the fans & studio have provided over the years."
The latest flick, in fact, introduced two new female characters played by Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren.
Two more movies are planned for 2019 and 2021 which will add to the eight existing films.

I hope they call her bluff

I imagine her career would have been a lot more scyfy and straight to dvd films were it not for that franchise.

isn't the next movie supposed to be the last one?

I have an idea for her...write, direct, fund her own movies if she doesn't like the roles she's been paid millions to do. The movies were centered around Vin and Paul Walker from the beginning so pretty tough to complain about it now. Bottom line she was gone for a couple of the movies thought dead and they did just fine so she has zero leverage.

Go ahead and quit Michelle, maybe Sharknado 13 will let you share top billing with Tonya Harding.

She's been insufferable in every role I've seen her play

Wouldn't most people say that the F&F movies have more prominent women than exist in the world of race car drivers? Or the percentage of women obsessed with racing cars in general?

That's the thing with these people. Nothing is good enough.

They made us think she got killed off once, and IMO Fast Five, without her, was the best of the series. We got Elsa Pataky and Gal Gadot. Too bad they are both not in the series anymore.

I just don't get this series.

It probably drove her insane that Gal Gadot was able to turn her short ride in the series into Wonder Woman.

I mean she was portrayed as a badass in the first one.

perfect, let her quit in "protest" and replace her with someone younger and hotter like they probably are due for anyway

Hell Paul Walker died and the franchise keeps rolling along. What makes her think people care if she's not in it anymore?!

Good. Dom should have never left the smoking hot Brazilian policewoman

Looks like an opportunity for Jordana to come back.
Posted on 6/29/17 at 8:23 am to Jack Ruby
this franchise is the only thing she has going career wise
Posted on 6/29/17 at 8:31 am to Jack Ruby
Statistics prove that women are worse drivers so a movie franchise about women pulling off amazing car stunts is simply unrealistic. And the F&F franchise is nothing if not realistic.

A social media rant will definitely change that. Geez.
