Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus (spoilers, as if it matters anyway..)

Bought it a few weeks ago, and finally watched it last night.
It's...um...bad. And obviously so. But while it does fall into the category of "so bad, it's good", it does so just barely. Because it's almost "so bad, it's just bad."
Most of you know the basic plot...and why wouldn't you, it's right there in the title. It's about a giant shark (a megaladon) and a giant octopus (not a squid...a joke that is made several times in the movie). And they terrorize the world. Crushing oil rigs, slapping planes out of the sky with tentacles, and even leaping from the ocean to bite an above-flying plane in half.
I guess it's definitely good enough to get some friends together and have a Mystery Science Theater 3000-type of night with. Because the laugh out loud moments in this movie are uncountable.
What's funny is that it actually has famous people in it. Well, people who were famous at one time. Duncan MacLeod (Lorenzo Lamas) is in it (wait...what? you mean he's not Highlander? Renegade..?? WTF is that?), as is Debbie Gibson (what? it's "Deborah" now? GFY). And the acting is so bad that I can honestly say that those two seemed like they mailed it in. Also, another main character is some random asian guy who is a scientist.* Aside from these I just mentioned, there are a plethora of possibly the shittiest actors and actresses ever on film. Most notably "submarine weird face guy." Simply hilarious. Think "Troll 2" acting levels. It's almost that bad.
But perhaps the best part of MSvGO is the special effects. Simply phenomenal. At some points, I turned to my gf and said "I think I could literally duplicate those special effects in Microsoft Paint." If the plot doesn't reel you in, and the bad acting doesn't entertain you, then I'd at least give this movie a shot for the SFX. They're THAT awesome(ly bad).
All in all, I'll give this movie a 7.5 out of 10 in terms of sheer entertainment. Half the time, you're laughing at the movie, and the other half, you're laughing at yourself for actually sitting down to watch the movie. But overall, it's pretty solid fun.
*asian scientist and Debbie Gibson actually are love interests, and it's one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever seen.

Who wins?
And to show my nerd side, Adrian Paul was Duncan McCloud, not Lorenzo.

Totally. It's a great movie to watch at a party if your guests are somewhat intelligent.

I loved that part on the teleconference when they are looking around to make sure no one sees them saying shite like " I'll never forget that night." So umcomfortable that is HILARIOUS.

Seriously, I'd recommend it. It's just plain fun to make fun of.
Like I said, it's borderline "so bad it's bad" but not quite.
And uway, funny you posted that pic. Cuz this is an actual pic from the movie, when the MS bites through the Golden Gate bridge:
And this is also a still from the movie:
No shite.

As opposed to...?? I don't have netflix, and I don't know that brick and mortar video stores would even have this. Best Buy sure as hell didn't.
But besides that, buying movies is kinda my thing. I have like 1,200.

I will guarantee you that you will go into it EXPECTING just the worst acting...and actually be surprised at just how bad the acting actually is.
