Watched it tonight with the family. Really good movie. My eyes were watering at different spots. Had a Hoosiers-like feel to it and really helped you see what the Mexican immigrant community goes through. It was formulaic, but they did a great job with it.

If you want a good, family friendly movie that is inspiring, this is a good one. Costner did a really good job, too. One of his better roles.

Got a 79% on Rotten Tomatoes and 4 out of 5 stars. Generally got good reviews.

Always safe to assume movies are 100% accurate to real life. Why bother with text books? History classes should just show movies.

Honestly, Hollywood is so ridiculously skewed in its perspective that I don't take a single thing it shows ever as being true to reality.

It isn't accurate in many cases. I never said it was. It is based on a true story, but it alters quite a bit. Still, it is a really good movie. And, the actual true story is pretty great, too. But, yes, there are definitely things that are altered. It happened almost 30 years ago.
