Via the Hollywood Reporter

quote:

Discovery streamer has canceled the show after its first season as a Max original and third overall.

That said, the series — based on writings by Bruce Lee and set in 19th century San Francisco — will potentially get in front of more viewers beginning in February 2024, as all three seasons will stream on Netflix.

Other sites speculate that Netflix could eventually produce new episodes.

quote:

If the show proves to be a success with the service's subscribers, it could lead to additional seasons being produced.

Netflix has picked up many canceled shows in the past, including Cobra Kai, Longmire, and Manifest, so the company could be seen as a decent destination to get fresh episodes.

Max became the king of streaming only to sell it all away.

Never thought I'd cancel HBO. But I did.

They seem to be actively trying to murder HBO.

I'll sign back up when something compelling comes back on. Maybe House of Dragons.

Thinking the same. Just realized the other day I haven’t checked out Max in a few months. I put it on and there was nothing I cared for. I’ve always had HBO since I’ve had a TV

People like Zaslav are a cancer on the world. All they do is rip shite apart to drain profits for themselves like human locusts.

I stuck around till the first episode of TD S4 and said “nah” and cancelled.

Maybe when Last of Us and HoD come back but nothing is appealing at this point.

Maybe when all of their episodes have aired so I can watch them quickly.

Thanks for the inspiration. I just cancelled too.

I checked "Other" on why I cancelled and left this note.

quote:

HBO hasn't put anything really good out in a long time. Your new owners have ruined the site with a bunch of content I'm not interested in. People my age (64) will remember how great HBO has been. Anyone who knows nothing besides what you currently offer, will never know HBO's greatness.
