The show started slow, but it definitely curried my favor.

Posted this in the other MoN thread, but I'll post here too:

I finished it last night. All in all I liked it. Not the best thing I've ever watched, but a lot of identifiable moments.

Just a note: they need to get better actors for next season (if there is one). Some of those people were painful to watch. Not talking about his parents- they get a pass. But the girl who played the black lesbian was just terrible. Some of her line delivery was awful.

I really enjoyed the show in spite of Tom haverford. I find aziz and his "acting" a bit annoying and entirely one-dimensional, but as a writer and creator of the show he did a great job, and covered topics not often portrayed on tv. I will say The scenes aziz had with Noel wells character & his parents were actually quite charming when he wasn't so over the top with his usual schtick.

Eric wareheim's character was hilarious, especially the episode where they discover Sherlock and Benedict cumberbatch.

All in all it was a very entertaining show with surprising depth and emotion at times.

Respect my cumberbatch

...it actually inspired me to start Sherlock.

I'm on episode 3, so far so good. Have y'all seen his new(I think) standup? The material is the same. Like, exactly the same.

I like her way more than the big white guy with glasses. He's the exact opposite of the type of person I like, and he's a pretty terrible actor IMO.

I just finished it. I loved it. I think after you watch the whole thing the peripheral characters are much better than they seem in the beginning.

Man, I just turned 30 and am in a serious relationship, and the finale hit me hard!

Completely agree with literally everything you posted.

My favorite moment of the show was when Eric Wareheim's character said "did you die pop pop?"

The acting is criticised way to harshly on here. It wasn't that bad and most of the show just seemed like real people. Which is what they were going for.

I'll watch anything with Tim or Eric in it, and Eric delivered in this show.

The episode showing all the shite the parents went though just to get a better Rhode for their kids and then the kids not giving the slightest effort to give a shite was absolutely fantastic.

And the exploration of his beginning of a long term relationship was great too.

Exactly. Realism made the show. Not everything was perfectly timed quips. I liked that
