Maybe we should petition for a Pretentious M/TB?

Nah there is still hope in this one. We just have to somehow navigate Dan away from the AFI Top 100.

I'm a book geek as well. How long do you think a thread about good literature would be?

Or less.

Tarantino by far for me. Scorsese's movies are boring as frick and are predictable to anyone with an IQ over 10.

I've seen Taxi Driver and The Departed. Taxi Driver bored the frick out of me and The Departed was predictable as hell (except for the last 30 seconds) and those forced Irish accents annoyed the holy hell out of me.

they werent irish accents they were boston accents

I agree. I think Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds, Jackie Brown, are all more complete and superior films to anything Scorsese has ever made. And Reservoir Dogs and the Kill Bills are as good as most. Scorsese's still got the better resume(clearly), but QT has the better films.
That said, there would be no QT if it weren't for Scorsese. Or at least, he'd be a very different filmmaker.

Scorsese and imo, Tarantino doesn't belong in the same sentence with Marty.
QT for me.

inglorious basterds is as good as anything scorcese has ever done.
give quentin time. he'll have as many on the afi top 100 list as scorcese before it's over.
