Martian readers, how will humor translate to movie?

Granted I didn't read the book; I listened to the audiobook. The narrator was incredible. Watney's humor and narrator deliver was spot on. I laughed so many times. I'm anxious how the dry humor of his logs will be carried over. Thoughts?

It wasn't as funny as the book but it was a good good movie. Followed the book a good bit
