Man vs Wild or Survivorman?

What's your favorite? I like both but definitely prefer survivorman. Being alone, carrying his own camera equipment, and not staying in hotel rooms is far more impressive IMO

If you want realism, Survivorman. If you want entertainment, the Bear.

This discussion again. Team Bear.

Survivorman showed you how to exist in nature. Man vs wild showed you how to survive and get out of life threatening situations. What Bear did was much more impressive and overall more entertaining. Survivorman was almost more of a documentary (not in a bad way. I enjoyed it).

Les is better at showing you how to survive. Bear is just better at it

I used to like man vs wild. Dual survivor or dual survival what ever it is is my favorite now

Survivorman no question. That guy by himself for a week in those places takes balls.

Not sure why there are so many Man vs fans given he had his production team do so damn much and many of the episodes were straight up fabrications with him staying in hotels for the night.
Sure, he is a total bad arse but the show was compromised bullshite.
What was insane about Les is he would do those far away shots so he would walk half a mile a way, place the camera, then walk back to the spot to get the shot, then walk back to get the camera.

Survivorman seemed like the real deal - so real it was boring.
Bugs and sitting around complaining.
Man vs. Wild might be semi-fake to total fake but it moves at a clip and has interesting facts discussed.
Man vs. Wild is like Cast Away - the normal 2 hour movie...
Survivorman would be like Cast Away as a 10-hour movie...watching Tom Hanks trying to keep bugs out of his cave.

Les is a bit wacky he believes in bigfoot.

Am I judging it by the product or how the actors spend their time off camera?
Les is a cry baby bitch. Bear is a beast.
Deal with it

Pretty easy to deal with it when the production team builds your shelter and you actually have food and water or even better after filming a few hours you head to a hotel.

Did Les ever squeeze elephant shite into his mouth to get water?

Hey, I said Bear is a badass.
But....you compromise the show multiple times and how are we to know you didn't do it 100% of the time.
He got busted by internet sleuths and had to fess up. How many of his incredible adventures were 100% fake. We don't know and I'm not going to trust him when he shows us a scene allegedly in the middle of nowhere and someone on the internet goes to the same spot 30 yards from a major highway.
Once again, he is a badass. His show was science fiction.
Les sat around bitching about being stranded with no food surrounded by a billion insects, but at least he was ACTUALLY stranded with no food surrounded by a billion insects.

I learned all about the dangers of foot fungus from Les Stroud......and I don't recall him ever drinking his own piss.
Survivorman ftw
Survivorman ftw
