I would say that's pretty strong evidence that they do.

Yeah, the same evidence you are using for the Superman argument, the TV/Movie board.

Since it is universally panned here, the world must hate it.

The Spider-Man comparison isn't an especially good one, as the sample size for one is much higher than the other.

The Superman films have a much similar sample size.

Personally I liked Man of Steel much better than the older ones. I thought it was really good. I'm not really disappointed in the destruction like most of the others in this thread. I think it shows superman's inexperience in dealing with those situations. He had just become superman at this point and didn't know how to handle it. He had struggled his whole life with his powers.

While I liked the older ones, I tried to watch it recently and found it to not be as good as I thought it was.

Yeah, exactly. Most superhero movies do this nonsense, though.

I haven't said shite about the MTV boards' opinion.

I can't fricking believe you're still arguing this.

Don't get me wrong, I like Man of Steel, however this slightly above average film can't hide it's Transformers like plot and atmosphere behind the name of Christopher Nolan.

You brought up the viewer rating.

And I showed you how flawed it is to go by that.

And more people liked it than Supes Returns.

There is ZERO evidence to the contrary, or at least, you have failed to provide any.

And the only proof you have provided to support this is the clearly flawed viewer rating system.

Using a movie that came out 20 years before rotten tomatoes, and another with a sample size 10x the size of the movie with which you were comparing.

So, you haven't shown shite.

Even if it is flawed, it is evidence that you are wrong. You can provide nothing to the contrary.

So, basically, you're arguing that more people like Supes Returns based on..... well..... cuz you said so.

Yes the Spider Man comparison did provide evidence as to how flawed that system is.

And you are saying more people liked Man of Steel because well, you know more people that said so.

Why is that? Because you liked the 2002 Spider-man better?

I didn't say shite about people I know, but yes I know a hell of a lot more people that like MOS compared to Returns.

Just like the viewer ratings on RT.

Let me know when you have something......... any evidence that more people like Returns

I got it broseph, more people like Man of Steel then Superman Returns, more people like The Amazing Spiderman, than Spiderman, and more people like Star Trek Into Darkness, than Star Trek II: Wrath of Kahn. Yet, were critically inferior.

Why, because the viewer rating on Rotten Tomatoes told us so.

I tried pointing this out. It was conveniently ignored.

Funny as shite that people had this gripe.

He basically had no choice in MOS, but in Superman 2, Zod had no powers, and Supes could have just taken him to the authorities, but no, he kills his arse instead.

Next, he goes and beats up the dude in the diner

It's not so much trolling as much as trying to prove that people seem to still have the Man of Steel glasses on, and with time, will come to the realization that while entertaining, it wasn't that great, just good. There is a reason it's the fourth best Superman film.

Good Night.

I haven't seen this movie yet. Something always comes up, I'm really looking forward to sitting down alone and checking it out this coming week.

Just hope it does jusitce to Superman.

Superman Returns was so close to the Donner movies that it looked like they dug up Reeves. I don't think thats why critics liked it more than MOS.
