started watching scrubs from the beginning and I have noticed an abita neon sign and turks Tabasco du-rag. I looked on IMDB and it said the show was filmed in California. Why did the show have those two big Louisiana props.

When Scrubs was getting started, Tabasco was a pretty big brand name so that might be one of the reasons. They were throwing out Tabasco ties and shirts and anything else they could put their name on.

Tabasco makes sense, as it's an international brand.

But Abita?

That's an oddity.
