maybe it didn't. RDJ is Tony Stark. He was born for that role. Just like Reynolds was born to play Deadpool. Now, Affleck may not have been born to play Batman, but he did a good job IMO. I just feel like swapping the actor mid story will have the same effect as if RDJ or Reynolds were swapped for someone else.

So that equals the same number of films that Bale played Batman. recast and move on. They need a younger version of him going forward anyway.

Affleck was fine. It was the convoluted script and crap CGI that failed BvS

Batman has had plenty of actors play him and Affleck has only played him in one movie really and it was a terrible movie.

Because Affleck didn't bring anything special to the role. I don't care if they replace him, especially if we get someone better.

Because the DCEU as a whole is a shite show and not one actor in that universe so owned a role that they are irreplaceable.

I wouldn't consider it a "good thing", but they could certainly manage better than marvel because they have many avenues to replace Batman in the same universe without just replacing the actor and acting like nothing happened
Bruce is old in the DCMU, so if he wanted to get out, they could easily transition to a younger Batman (Batman Beyond, or a robin character taking the mantle) Or you could replace the character with Nightwing
