good, maybe we can get a red hood as the villain. BvS kinda set that up already. it could be an origin movie but for the red hood instead of batman.

Well...I guess consider me as someone who was super psyched about the possibility of an Affleck written/directed Batman movie when it was first announced. I really enjoyed Gone Baby Gone, The Town, Argo, and even Live by Night (even though it didn't get much notoriety). I'm disappointed that it didn't work out but am also glad that they didn't force it and decided to change things up when it appeared that it wouldn't work.

It's definitely good news. Reeves has been given full control of the project. I still believe Affleck will drop out after JL.

that's the worst that could happen. that's like RDJ leaving his Iron Man role.

Just do Under the Red Hood.

Then.... You know...... A Nightwing trilogy.

I have to completely disagree. RDJ is Ironman the character doesn't work without him in that universe.

Batman has had plenty of actors play him and Affleck has only played him in one movie really and it was a terrible movie. Switching actors wouldn't be terrible.

Exactly. Batman will be fine with or without Affleck. I didn't think he was anything special.

To be fair he was really good in the role and one of the few bright spots of the a movie, but still yeah if he goes it wouldn't be terrible

probably be but it'll be off putting to have to recast your biggest character so early into your MCU.

which is why I thought going with the old, grizzled Batman to start your EU was stupid but Snyder had a hard on for the dark knight returns

The DCEU has its own MCU now?

We decided that in the Hobbit threads. All movie series will now be referred to as MCUs.

He's referring to the fact that MCU stands for Marvel Cinematic Universe.

ok, so affleck IS batman/bruce wayne in this universe. how bout marvel/disney recast iron man/tony stark and see how that turns out.

actually, it will be 2 movies by the time this movie comes out.

i agree to an extent. if it's a supporting character, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. see rachel dawes from the TDK trilogy. i didn't follow the transition from batman begins to the dark knight so i was expecting katie holmes to come back. when i saw maggie gyllenhaal, i was confused as to who she was supposed to be playing but i shrugged it off when i found out and they killed her off. imagine if nolan had recast bale instead.

Three.

Batman V Superman
Suicide Squad
Justice League

That's assuming that he doesn't pop up in Aquaman or Flash or Gotham Sirens...

That's how that sentenced should've read. Just saying.
