Starting watching this the other day. Pretty much reminds me of Walker Texas Ranger minus Chuck Norris obviously

I enjoy it. It's not a Top 5 show for me but I'm glad Netflix picked it up and they've done a really good job of continuing the story.

It's a decent show if you just wanna occupy a little time.

It is a good show for binge watching while other shows are on hiatus.
I have always liked LDP. He and Longmire interact well together. Katee Sackhoff's character has bothered me the last season but still a good show.

Best show on television. Longmire is a man of integrity. He doesn't even own a cell phone.

I've never watched it but read one of the books. Is it a procedural case of the week type show or season long story?

Both. It's weekly show solving crime but each episode also has ties to each other that plays out over seasons.
