Despite the overwhelming number of streaming services, too often I search out a specific movie only to find it is either not available on one of my current services or not available at all except to buy or rent digital.

My local library has a decent selection, including now being the only non-piracy option to watch the entire Westworld series, but still lacks somewhat. Picked up a couple of dollar movies from thrift stores that I think would be good additions— Pursuit of Happyness, Children of Men, District 9, One Hour Photo. It felt good to spend a few bucks on media I don’t have to store and also goes much further than a 48-hour rental.

Has anyone else thought about beefing up their local libraries this way?
