It was good except for two things:

1-Russell Crowe
2-Dialogue felt forced into singsong melody-less mess. The actors seemed to be bullshitting their way thru their monologues

exactly in music you can sing emotion into music, you can sing in a way that shows you are distressed depressed, excited, and so on and so forth without sacrificing good music, that happened a handful of times in the movie.

Still prefer the older one with Liam Neesson.

the one without music?

I prefer the stage show over the movie, because the music was done better.

This.

The production is worth it though, wonderfully "big" film. Pure spectacle.
