I was a little skeptical going in because most of the DC series thus far have needed a good half a season or so to really get started. LoT seems like it may need some time to develop but it seems like it's farther along at its start than the others have been (probably because we are already familiar with all the characters and their backstories, except for Rip).

I liked the Stein-Palmer interactions and the Hawks seem to be working well, but the Cold/Heatwave/Canary chemistry seemed to be the best out of them all.

Snart's reasoning for why he wanted to join up worked for getting he and Heatwave in without it feeling forced.

***SPOILER ALERT***

I also liked the twist with Hunter really picking them because they didn't matter to history and how the prof was the Hawk's kid.

Looking forward to next week

Glad I'm not the only one.

I've always had an aversion to women with those extended gums. Really creeps me out.

She's cute though. I can deal with it.

So when Hawkgirl talks to Stein, does she ask, "What's up, Doc?"

Just finished this. I admit the first twenty minutes had me rolling my eyes with thoughts of how bad this was going to be, but by the end I somehow felt I really enjoyed the episode.

Hawkgums is definitely the perfect name for her.

Yep, yep

We don't need another drama. This should be a shoot'em up and play cool songs.

Firestorm looks awesome. His FX is awesome.

I didn't like Cold on Flash, but he was good in this episode. He actually gets to be a character here.

Good episode!

I liked the episode as well. Snart and Rory are growing on me as well. Wentworth is still "overacting" when he talks, but it is getting more bearable (or he is toning it down a tad). And Rory is actually getting some scenes where he is talking, and is adding some humor. It seems that Palmer is almost taking a backseat to them, which is surprising.

Oh, and Caity is still fine as hell.

I did like tonight's episode. Great FX and juggernaut action scenes. My only misgiving is I think not only is Hawkgirl miscast, but also her character is too soft, unsure, and wishy-washy. I really enjoyed Hawgirl's character in Justice League animated and wish they had stayed in the same vein.
