Plot lines were just a bit too ludicrous to continue suspending disbelief basically.

This is a great show (the last episode was the best so far), but I just don't see how this show could last more than a couple of seasons with its premise.

This is where they messed up. I love the premise for the show, but it isn't sustainable having this idea drawn out over months and months.

This series should have been the new "24". They could've had the same story line with a much more compact timeline -- that would've made it almost believable. Stealing a US Sub and keeping it away from all countries for weeks at a time -- unbelievable.

Having a sub crew take a sub and have it on the run for 2 or 3 days and have shitloads happen in that same timeline -- it could have worked.

Every show thats ever been on TV fits this description. Its the whole purpose of TV. Especially "reality" TV.

Damn.

The final two episodes are going to be insane.

The military is actually going to pull a coup in Washington D.C.

They're going to block off DC with a naval blockade, all bridges and roads into DC shut down by the army, a no fly zone being patrolled by the Air Force and then the Marine Corps will conduct an assault op on the White House to arrest the President, Vice President and SECDEF.

Then they will have speaker of the house become president after he addresses congress when all this takes place.

Crazy.

The drama with the XO was interesting to watch. He is just finally figuring out where he truly sides on all this. We know where he is on this now.

I pretty much knew that Chaplin woud fire on the destroyer. He's a man of his word. And he was pretty much backed into a corner. It helps that that he was provided a weapon that ends the conflict bloodless.

I wonder how Christine is going to be in play since we all know she's alive. The previews didn't show anything.

I can't wait!

We stopped watching when we heard the show is being cancelled. Does anyone know if they will tie things up or just leave the viewers hanging for a conclusion that will never happen?

ABC gave the writers enough notice to write a series finale that does tie things up. It will air in two weeks. From what I read, the ending will be very satisfying.

I know. I really wanted to see it work. I was like NOOOOOOO!!!! When the speaker shot himself.

I really wanted to see a coup, you don't see that happen in movies and TV very often. It would have been epic.

Do you think that Kylie's dad is in on what stopped the coup? I get these vibes that he's in on the president's plan.

I have no idea how they're going to resolve the two factions fighting on the sub, expose the gov'ts treachery, clear their names and get them all home in one episode next week. frick.

Yeah, I think he's a greedy businessman who doesn't want to lose his best paying customer in the president.

Why else would Air Force One be there at the end of the episode?

It doesn't look like this will have a good resolution, unfortunately.

Yeah, I agree.

Frick ABC for being an impatient ratings whore.

I know I read that the producers had enough time to write an end to the series, but it's hard to see how they can wrap everything up in a nice bow with where things stand now.

I fear we're going to get some kind of ambiguous ending. I would love to read an interview with the producers after next week's show to read what their plans were before getting the axe.

Yeah I think they fricked up by having the coup fail. It would have allowed them to focus on what's going on the sub between the two factions and if they get back home or not.

Like I said, I have no idea how they're going to wrap things up in one episode. It's why they should've stuck with coup succeeding.

I would read that article btw.

Definitely sucks they cancelled this show. It's way better than Revolution and they got green lighted. It should be an action packed hour next week. Hope it gets picked up by another network.
