Kings Landing would be the worst place to live in world history T/F?

As a peasant it's got to be the worst place ever, constant fighting, invasions, regime changes. Clearly human life means very little to those running the city.
If you aren't forced to fight for the faith or the crown, you're probably a prostitute or beggar.

Yea don't get me wrong the Empire is definitely scary and living in their capital would be tough, but at least it's a thriving city with modern amenities.
Plus the Empire had order and structure, they weren't crossbowing people just for fun or blowing up entire churches full of people and religious leaders
