I don't wanna see Nolan sully himself with a video game adaptation. Hasnt Halo been in development hell for a long time...thought The Rock was attached for a little while. Or am I thinking of Doom?

The first time I saw the trailer for Avatar, I thought it was for Halo. It looked so awesome for about 5 seconds.

I've played all the Halo games and I was never really enamored with the story. It was just an excuse to kill Covenant.
So... yeah, the movie would undoubtedly be a shite sandwich.

A video game movie that needs to be made is a movie based on Diablo. Supposedly Legendary Pictures had it up on their site for a while (back in 2007), but took it down.

The window of opportuity on a Halo movie has already opened and closed. The Halo brand doesn't have the same impact that it did when Halo 2 came out.
