Atell is probably my favorite comic of all time. I would pay half my retirement to have his wit.

Some of his KT appearances have been lame, but these last 2 have been some among the best appearances any guest comedian has had. He’s in Adam Ray territory and I don’t even know who the 3s might be.

David Spade…ouch. Did not take an opportunity to advance his career. Dude punted. His weaknesses were on display more than his strengths. He might be one of those artists who thinks drugs are the reason for his success rather than one of those who recognize they never needed them.

I love Spade and I think he would be great on KT if he got comfortable and opened up more. Like I said, something seemed off with him for his first episode. Likely weed or mushrooms or something.

Adam Ray and Ian Edwards tonight. And it looks like Adam Ray is doing some character in drag named “Elaine”, who I’m not familiar with.

I'm about halfway through. Pretty decent episode. I kinda wish Adam Ray would stop with the characters and just be himself on the show. I feel like he's at his best then, even though I do like Dr. Phil.

I got through the first bucket pull while at the paint store before returning home to work on some shelving. I’ll get back to it once I can give it my full attention because Adam Ray is always the star when he appears.

But damn Casey Rocket is just not growing on me. Every week I swear I’m going to fast forward through his set and his interview. Then I don’t. I keep telling myself I’ll eventually get it.

He just doesn’t say anything or do anything that makes me laugh. I’d rather just go with another bucket pull.

His schtick just doesn’t have staying power. It’s novel the first few times but that’s about it. He’s unique, I’ll give him that but I’m not sure he’s built for a minute. He spends that time making his entrance.

The weirdo with the glasses reading his notepad was actually funny to me.

his cultural references are too obscure to carry his quirkiness

and its WAY TOO contrived

but the new opener cant be better than Hans Kim

who sucks less

Good episode over all. The song at the end was classic Adam Ray. Great way to end the show.

I still enjoy watching casey, but I agree, that his act doesn’t do great in short form.

I bet they will just do a rotation after Hans returns, and have him or Casey open the show each week.

Me too, but I lost it on Thursday. Now that I’ve read your post, it’s back in my head again.

Such a happy tune

Tony Hawk, Harland Williams, and Ian Fidance are guests for tonight's show. Harland was very good in his recent appearance. Tony Hawk seems very random. I don't know much about Ian, but this should be a good show with just Harland on the panel.

Tony always seems like a very reserved quiet person on everything else I have seen him on

Harland should be the comedic relief

Ian I do not like because of his over the top laughing at absolutely everything whether or not it is warranted but will not stop me from watching

That Jerry Carlin set was great, even though the first couple jokes were stinkers. Then he pulls out the "black out" joke and the Kanye joke. Was awesome haha.

Did you catch Heath Cortis last week talking about his age? It was hard to tell if he was serious or not, but seemed to be implying that he's younger than he has let on. Was a weird moment.

timestamped clip

I think I had said earlier in this thread that they should consider Heath to be the new opener. Many on here thought he wasn't ready, and they were right. He looked like he is fricked up on something in last night's show and didn't even do a full minute...after a long absence from the show. Then it's revealed that he missed a flight to do some shows with Redban (and Tony?) because he was too messed up the night before. He may be spiraling, which is unfortunate.

Yeah I caught it all last week

I am also unsure about his age & all that

I do believe that he has at least been really honest & said he didn't have hardly any material other than his opening minute set on KT & would have to come up with new to keep things going

Not uncommon for Austin & or KT folks to spiral on alcohol & drugs

Someone tell Tony to leave the hair color alone & I am digging the giant hat that Gonzales has worn the past couple of shows
