Not official but seems like a good bet. I didn't watch the last one. Doesn't look like I'm watching the next one either. I wonder what his mommy, I mean wife will wear to the premiere.

I think he has the acting chops to crush it

Meh… coulda done worse. He is young enough to hang on to the part for several movies so considering Bond died in last movie, we should get some a nice new timeline and continuity of storytelling

Probably gonna regret it when Kraven is Madame Web levels of bad.

has Nolan been offered the director role or did they go with someone else?

I don't get the dislike for him. Every movie I've seen him in, I actually enjoyed his performance. He was great in Bullet Train, and I would actually see Kraven if I knew it wasn't going to be a huge pile of shite.

From the NY Post article about this:
Could you imagine the uproar if the sexes were reversed here?
And what are the chances someone named Taylor-Johnson marries someone named Taylor-Wood?
quote:
The actor’s first major role was in the hit British coming-of-age comedy “Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging” back in 2008.
He went on to star as teenage John Lennon in “Nowhere Boy” in 2009, where he met his now-wife and the film’s director Sam Taylor-Wood.
Taylor-Johnson was 18 when he met Taylor-Wood, who was 42 at the time. The pair tied the knot three years later.

It's hilarious to watch modern hollywood continue to trot out a character like James Bond and then be shocked fewer give a crap every time. This will fail. I'm sure they'll squeeze a few more drops of money out of it, but man... that franchise doesn't deserve to be mocked and crapped on by this era in time.
It doesn't matter who gets the part. It will be woke and it will suck.

Just make a normal thread title, my lord

I would have preferred Henry Cavill get the part, but I think Aaron Taylor-Johnson is a good choice. Most of the other actors that were speculated to be in the running were arse. The big question mark is what kind of stories are they going to tell with this era of Bond? The Daniel Craig years were mostly crap.

I may be in the minority here, but I hope Nolan does something other than Bond. I know he wants to do it but I think he's capable of giving us something much better than another Bond movie.

Strange indeed. It's one thing to bang the guy, but to start a family and get married? Bizarre. They had a child together when he was 20, and she was 44
This guy is 33 years old. His career is really starting to kick off with big-budget leading roles, and he's married to a 57-year-old woman.

He's an obvious homo and she's just a brood beard.

1. the end of the article says that if Taylor-Johnson is being leaked as the next Bond, that means he has already been rejected for the role.
2. if they use the same writers/producers for that last turd, it won't matter who plays Bond.
They ruined Star Wars and will now ruin James Bond. The woke aren't interested in making woke ip, they are interested in destroying what was already established.

It doesn't matter to me who plays Bond, just so long as he's a misogynistic pussy chaser. If he isn't, I'm out.
Misogyny is as much a part of James Bond as the poison dart that shoots out of his Rolex. Oh and another thing. I don't want to see any sort of James Bond that's a fricked up headcase who needs therapy.
There.
