Yeah, I've been waiting to talk about the new Marvel Universe post-Secret Wars. The announcement of titles was pretty interesting, and I feel they are doing a good job of servicing each segment of the fanbase. For lack of a better term, there is something for the neckbeards and for the Mary Sue crowd. Old school oddballs such as myself lost some of our favorite titles (She Hulk, Hawkeye, Moon Knight), but we'll find new ones... and those were all designed to be limited runs anyway.

But seriously.... Moon Knight.

Without the pressure to carry the company financially, lesser selling titles which are more quirky have been given a chance to flourish just because they are f'n GOOD. I can't imagine Marvel pre-MCU letting this Moon Knight series happen. There's no way it's a moneymaker and it ties into nothing.

They have a lot of interesting series coming up I think, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Nightmask and Starbrand, Squadron Supreme, The Black Knight!!!!!, The Illuminati among others.

At it’s heart, Black Knight will be about one man’s struggle with what I call a “necessary addiction”. I guess the best description is something that’s sort of like a cross between Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad.

Call it Breaking Blade, if you will.

As for how long this has been in the works? Let me put it to you this way… remember back when I was doing all that Black Knight stuff in New Excalibur? We were talking about me doing a series with him even then. So this was a long time coming. But I strongly believe it’s a book that’ll be worth the wait… for both me and Dane’s fans.

So let's do a Secret Wars thread.

And I am SUPER pumped for the return of Black Knight. And the creative team behind it looks awesome.
