I really wanted to give it a chance after King of Queens. It's kinda funny but the over the top laugh track makes it unbearable.

I laughed a little
He's good in the tv format
Not sure about his supporting cast, he will have to carry this one.
They need to end Big Bang, that show is off the rails.

How old is he now? 50? 30 something wife? How long ago was King of Queens and he essentially playing the same thing.
Big Bang I still "enjoy" but yes. Its arc is done. The story, like all friends in that period of life, should begin to fragment. They would begin to go their own ways.
Penny's family was funny.

I was a King of Queens fan, but I feel like this show is trying to recapture that King of Queens type 1997 humor in 2016. It worked in 1997, not so much in 2016. Plus, Jerry Stiller's character was a driving force for a lot of the comedy then, and this show doesn't have anything like that.

King of Queens was a solid sitcom but Kevin Can Wait does not have nearly as strong of a supporting cast. It was not a good opening episode at all.

Fat comics are rarely funny. I'm exhausted of the TV trope of fat schlub who's married to an inexplicably hot wife. Hilarity ensues? Most often, not.

I genuinely cracked up when he told that douche kid, "keep doing what you're doing. I just needed the mustard." 
Other than that it was just ok. I'll watch a few more episodes and see how it goes.

king of Queens was great, but arthur, owalkt, and deacon made the show. not kevin james

Kevin James and Melissa McCarthy are the same person as far as their career just different gender. They both have had 1 maybe 2 good roles but mostly they just fall down a lot.

The supporting cast is what made that show. Not Kevin. No shot Kevin James can carry a sitcom.

Watch Kevin From Work on Netflix, much better. Doesn't have Kevin James but it has a lot of funny up and comers and is an office comedy.

Honestly, the pilot of KofQ sucked too, so I'm gonna let them work out the kinks before I judge it. I hate sitcoms with laugh tracks, though.

Was not overly impressed with the first episode. Will probably stick with it for a few more but,
