Agreed. Maybe I'm just getting old but I just don't see it with her.
her looks have taken a hit over the years. she used to be a lot more attractive but my attraction to her has always been because of her body. that is still top notch

forgot that JLH was on a tv show. Hands down the winner and it isn't even a competition.

She isn't. She got it cancelled because she wanted to change the storyline so her real life boyfriend could be the good guy and the network told her to gtfo.

This is the worst news I've heard all day.

(I don't even know the name of the show. I just call it JLove's Mammary Hour)

I was wondering what happened to it. Figured she was done with it when she got pregnant.

I'll echo what a couple of the others have said and say that you have it backwards. The first 3 seasons were great. But Sheldon jumped the shark when they introduced AFF. Sheldon's appeal was his relative aloofness, and they've made him into pretty much another normal person. Penny is a complete bitch now, has lost all of her compassion that she had in the earlier seasons. Same goes for Bernadette. They just extended for 3 more seasons and I don't know how watchable it's going to be at that point (that last point of course applies to people that actually watch it now, haters).

Not trying to list any spoilers but there are any number of girls Leonard should've gotten with instead of Penny and the show would've been better for it.

I don't see that at all, he's as socially awkward and weird as ever IMO.

It's funny reading all the comments, albeit mainly from haters, about Sheldon now. If you go and read reviews for the episodes, they pretty much always praise Sheldon, and he won an Emmy last year for it. To each their own.

I assume you mean for yourself, because the show is at all time high for viewership these last 2 seasons.

It averaged 13.4 million viewers through it's first 6 seasons, with it's 6th season last year averaging 18.68 million, and so far this year Season 7 is averaging 18.13 million with the 2 highest rated episodes in the shows history with a 20.44 and 20.35.

This just isn't true. Again, the format the first 2 seasons or so was 4 geeky friends and the hot neighbor girl. Like fear said, it was never about these guys being ultra smart, but socially awkward.

Yeah, it is true. It's a Chuck Lorre show. It's always been mainstream humor. Everything they did was setup to where anyone could watch it and get it, even if it was comic book or science related.

Possibly moreso, but that's the problem. He's completely changed. The original Sheldon would never say or do about half the things he says and does now. He's been turned from an interesting character into a platform for jokes.

Are you trying to call people that liked the show format before better, haters? I certainly don't hate the show, I just don't think it's better now.

So Sheldon becoming more open to his friends, getting a girlfriend, and exploring that area of human contact while still being incredibly socially awkward is a problem?

I for one am looking forward to the episode where he and Amy finally have sex.

Some people love to find anything they can wrong with a show.

AFF has certainly caused Sheldon to grow, but I'm not talking about that. Many things he says and does now are completely out of character and only done in order to facilitate jokes. I just felt he was better used when he was better defined.

This isn't TWD, I'm not overanalyzing it. They've made a calculated format shift which I disagree with. I think I'm being appropriately critical and I usually defend BBT in these threads. I just was surprised by the comment that someone thought the show is better now than it was in the beginning.

I agree with this statement; however, if Sheldon stayed static, people would probably bitch that he was exactly the same. I have watched every episode, and I am glad they took Sheldon and showed how this group of people were able to open him up. Plus, like any show that starts off great, I don't think they had a chance to be as good in later seasons as in those first seasons even if they kept his character static. I also think Penny and Leonard getting back together was stupid, although the more penny we see means the more Penny's cleavage we see and that is fine with me.

Like someone said, the episode when he loses his virginity should be hilarious. But nothing will be as funny as the bazinga fest in the ball pit. That shite gets me every time.

I mean it's cool if I actually knew someone like Sheldon in real life. But a Sheldon that was uninterested in sex and completely focused on science was what made him funny, because he was in stark contrast to the other 3 guys. That dichotomy was funny in itself. Now, while still weird, he's more "normal." I can see why others appreciate the change. I just don't care for it myself.

Of course I say all of this and I still watch.

Agreed. Her looks peaked in about season 3. She looked like she gained a little weight in season 4 but was still amazing. Been downhill ever since then.
