That Casey Affleck fully convinced me that he had actually suffered that type of tremendous loss. It's amazing how actors can get into a zone like that and show grief so convincingly.

Agree the scene with him and Michelle Williams on the street was some powerful stuff.

yes, I thought the music took me out of the movie a few times (and I am not talking about the garage band scenes)
