I watched this HBO documentary over the weekend and I cannot recommend it enough.
I'm not sure if this has been discussed before or recently, but it tells the story of a patriarch who basically perpetuated 4 generations of sexual abuse within his family. It's a profile on a man who is a total, iredeemable piece of shite and the effects his family still feels from his actions.

So it's the profile of an Alabama fan?

Watched it online line about a year ago and had to stop watching because it was putting me in a bad mood. I remember him being interviewed at his home but was he ever put in jail?

I believed he served 8 years in jail in the late 70's after being convicted of child molestation, and then sometime in the 90's he was being charged with murder but died before the trial got underway.
That's another thing I should have mentioned in the OP, the dude almost assuredly killed a social worker who went missing the day she was supposed to go check up on the family, only for her body to turn up nearby shortly thereafter.
It's the damnest thing, but this guy just does not have a wikipedia page, which is kind of astounding to me, considering some of the things that have pages.dedicated to them on that site.
