Terrible.

Worse then terrible.

Basically we run from explosion to explosion without any real attempt to tell a coherent story.

Save your 8 bucks, I wish I had.

Already said it but I will say it again.

They don't move a summer blockbuster to February unless there are some serious problems.

I liked the story concept. Problem was they spent no time developing it...rather it was pew-pew every change they got.

Waste of talented actors.

I love when people go see movies that I know are going to be bad, but yet I am still curious about, so I don't have to go to confirm my initial suspicion.

Thank you for your service kind sir.

I question your overall decision making process.

You not only saw this movie that everyone could smell the turd from a mile away but you saw it IN THE THEATER? Are you high? Maybe you should've been

Yeah, no offense to Rob, the guy his friends probably like, but I could have told you this movie was drek from the minute I saw the first trailer.

You can tell me. Does Ned Stark die halfway through the movie?

lol I wish I had been.

No, I see a movie every friday for lunch. My gig involves late nights and weekends frequently so this is my reward for not bitching about weird hours.

That being said it has to fit within my schedule on friday and sadly this one was the only one who had a start and finish time I could pull off for lunch. (I wanted to see Taken 3).

I wish it had not :-).

That's depressing to hear. I was 99.999% this movie would suck, but I held out a tiny fraction of hope that it would be good.

The worst part about it is that studios will assume audiences don't like the sc-fi genre and stop making the movies that have the potential to be good. Guess we get to see nothing but Spiderman 9 and Iron Man 13 for the foreseeable future.

As a sci-fi fan, I'm fracking bummed.

Does Sean Bean die? You won't be spoiling it for us since no one is gonna see it anyway.

You might not realize that you just swiped this from a scene in Gosford Park:

======================================================
Lady Sylvia McCordle: Mr Weissman.
Morris Weissman: Yes?
Lady Sylvia McCordle: Tell us about the film you're going to make.
Morris Weissman: Oh, sure. It's called "Charlie Chan In London". It's a detective story.
Mabel Nesbitt: Set in London?
Morris Weissman: Well, not really. Most of it takes place at a shooting party in a country house. Sort of like this one, actually. Murder in the middle of the night, a lot of guests for the weekend, everyone's a suspect. You know, that sort of thing.
Constance: How horrid. And who turns out to have done it?
Morris Weissman: Oh, I couldn't tell you that. It would spoil it for you.
Constance: Oh, but none of us will see it.

I might still see it tomorrow as the second part of a discount double feature. Or is it not worth seeing for free?

My friend just saw it earlier and said it was freaking awesome. Story could be better but the action and CGI was top notch. But then with you being a very pretentious liberal (yeah I've noticed you on the Poliboard) I would of course expect you to hate it. I bet you thought Amadeus was the best movie of all time.

Moral of the story: just because someone says it sucks doesn't mean that everyone will think the same way. And vice versa.

Sounds like your friend and Rob's descriptions of the movie are pretty much the same. Good for your friend if he thought it was awesome but a lot of people need at least an average story to keep them engaged in a CGI fest.

Thanks for the heads up Rob. I'll check it out on FX a year from now.

Real question, what did your friend think of Transformers Age of Extinction? I am picturing this movie rivaling Transformers as far as disjointed explosions go.
