Didn't realize he was almost 70 either. His IMDb says his first roles were on TV (Love Boat & Mork and Mindy) in 1981. He was already 33 years old.

R.I.P. sad to hear this news.

I happened to run into Mr. Thomas a few years ago at an art showing in New Orleans. His moments on the tonight show were the main reason I recognized him though I do remember a few of his spots on popular shows. He came across as such a nice, down to earth guy. We sat around bsing for a few hours like he was there for our entertainment.

Funny guy. Gone too soon.
