He was great in The Gift. I didn't think he could pull that role off. He did great.

He's great, but I don't think he's underrated. People are aware of his talents.

That reminds me of when they talked about Rob Lowe on Modern Family. The one guy said that Lowe's looks might have held him back. That he is actually too handsome to be taken seriously. There is a bit of truth to that.

Pitt has to really stretch himself to take meaningful/memorable roles. When he could have just been the hot guy from Thelma and louise.

Bateman has had to fight a bit of that. That and having a famous sister that got him started. Bateman has been on a great role lately. I really like his lower budget movies, like Extract, Up in the air, Juno and the one at the spelling bee. He's carved out a nice career.

I have no idea who Jason Batemans sister is and I also don't think that many people consider him "Brad Pitt" attractive

His sister is Justine. She was a huge star with Michael J Fox on one of the biggest sitcoms of the 80s. She didnt do much after that. Jason was one of those 80 hearthrob kids. He did teen wolf 2 and all. He had to overcome all of that, like dozens of other actors from that era.

Rob Lowe is so underutilized. Sucks what happened early in his career, dude has some serious versatility and the face of an angel.

Bateman's a pretty one note actor, but he gets a ton of mileage out it. He stretches between jerk and the smart put-upon guy pretty well.

There was a time when he was the underused gem that peole were waiting for everyone else to discover. He had a series in 84/85 called It's Your Move with Steve Rhoades from Married with Children. It's Your Move was hilarious and Bateman stole the show, sort of like Michael J. Fox did on Family Ties. But it only lasted one season.
