The choice is obvious: RDJ. That was a part he was born to play.

That didn't take long. How long has this studio been waiting for Hugh to die? Project was probably in the pipes for years.

This is where all his method acting shite pays off.

As with any biopic news, I'll believe it when it actually gets a trailer.
Seems like every biopic goes thru 500 cast changes and then 90 percent never even get made

Are they gonna get Channing Tatum or Chris Hemsworth to play Tom Petty? Miles Teller would be perfect for Hef, ugly as a countbubble and just the right amount of cocky a-hole.

I’m sure he’s anxious to jump into staying in character for that role.

Steve Nash was born to play that role.

He does look like Tom Petty. Wow.
I also don't like Jared Leto as Hugh Hefner. They could pick a better actor to play him.

They should just have his son play him since they are pretty much twins.

I typically don't pay any attention to actors' perceived reputations when watching their films, but Jared Leto is an exception. He's a cock, and every time I watch a film of his, all I think about is how much I don't like Jared Leto.
I can watch every Tom Cruise movie under the sun and not think for a split second about how he's the face of a bonafide cult, but throw Jared Leto in a film and I'm immediately taken out of it because I can't focus on anything but my dislike for the guy.

Between Jared Leto and that douchenozzle Brett Ratner directing, the casting couch for this is going to get a workout. I look forward for the impending sexual harassment lawsuits; those are bound to be more entertaining than the movie.

I feel like they could just get the guy from Amazon show about him.

They'll get David Spade.

Playboy slammed the breaks on this movie due to Ratner's current sex scandal.
Leto's people want to make it clear that Leto was never attached to this film.
All of Ratner's projects are now dead.
