They are all such terrible people. Everyone outside of the gang that they come in contact with, they tear down in one way or another. They're like a tornado of shitty humans.

Thundergun Express. Season 7 was so good.
My favorite episode has to be either Frank getting an intervention or when Mac tries to be a reporter and they set Sweet Dee on fire.
99% of the episodes are just fantastic.

One of my all time favorite shows, after maybe Reno 911. I haven't seen the most recent few seasons. I need to catch up.
I still get the songs from The Nightman Cometh stuck in my head. "Just to be clear...I did not write that song, and have never had sex with a child....just to be clear." It will never not be funny.

I was the same way with trailer park boys. Everyone kept recommending it and I finally broke down and watch it.. Well worth the wait!

Damn so many classic episodes from these 3 seasons. That may have actually been my favorite stretch, don't see how anyone could say there was a dip in quality here
All time favorite episode was sweet dee has a heart attack though when Charlie unearths the Pepe Silvia conspiracy

Huh? The characters are horrible people. Absolute scumbags. But somehow they are still likeable. That's why it's so good.

Danny Devito is there only reason it got a second season. The ratings weren't great, but it was cheap to produce. FX told them they had to find a big name actor in order to have a second season. Devito got involved because his daughter was a huge fan.
She actually played a small role as a waitress in a fancy restaurant.

Perhaps I should have said "not unlikeable" rather than good. Like one I watched last night where Mac banged Dennis' mom, he didn't want to do it and came to Charlie looking for confirmation that he shouldn't, but Charlie talked him into doing it for his own selfish reasons.
They switch off who's got good intentions and who's got selfish intentions which is how they remain not unlikeable. But someone needs good intentions because good intentions spiraling out of control is one of the formulas they use. Dennis and Dee quitting to get away from their toxic father and follow their dreams, good intentions, and somehow that devolved into them being crackheads on welfare
That's all I meant when I said they were good, not that they were Ghandi one episode and the devil the next.
