How does he come off as bitter? None of this is really personal to him. I like John Stewart, but he could be bitter. He took it really seriously. I think it's just a job for Noah.

This about sums it up....

quote:

But on the other side of the coin here is the Daily Show crowd. An equally insufferable internet gang. It began with John Stewart and now its carried to Trevor Noah and John Oliver – whatever a Daily Show host says is automatically Evisceration and Destruction. Its like Thoughts and Prayers. Eviscerate and Destroy get tossed around like its going out of style. Now, John Stewart is a legendary comedian. And he will go down in TV history for what he did with The Daily Show. There were plenty of times he gave a monologue or did an interview where he really did take someone down who deserved it. But now its like the ultimate knee jerk reaction to just say a person or a topic were torn to shreds. It doesnt even have to be funny or poignant anymore. I mean “You dont see color? What do you do at a traffic light?”

The crowd goes nuts and the internet sends it viral!

Folks that joke fricking sucks. It doesnt even really make sense. There’s a million statements you can make like that about color. “You dont see color?? How do you know that your socks are matching in the morning???” “You dont see color?? How do you pass the test at the eye doctor??” The Daily Show crowd was going to OOOOH and AHHHHH over whatever the punchline was to that joke. Its just what they do. They automatically laugh and they automatically decide that the person who’s the subject of the satire or the joke is an idiot getting roasted. When Tomi Lahren said “What did the KKK do?” she was asking a rhetorical question (albeit a stupid one) to make a point. Trevor Noah takes her question seriously as if shes actually asking the question and the Daily Show crowd yucks it up like its some sort of satirical genius. Its just lazy. Not that funny and doesnt warrant the dramatic reaction it always gets. I’m sure Trevor Noah is a really capable and funny comedian and the Daily Show writers are still all talented people but its just the same sort of “take downs” and lazy shite with the same reaction from the crowd every time.

The show has really just gotten flat out lazy and is perfectly comfortable with tossing out plenty of red meat to appease its young liberal audience that believes all of the right are narrow minded racists. "hey here's a segment with a small town preacher that believes gay marriage is evil...ISN'T HE STUPID? HA HA"

Stewart was definitely liberal, but I think he took his viewing audience seriously and wanted to somewhat make his viewer a more informed person or at least as best he could for a comedy show. Noah and co. are content pandering to the angry liberal.

I watched Daily Show religiously, going back to Kilborn. I loved the show under Stewart. Even when I disagreed with him, it was at least funny. I quickly quit when Noah took over. Maybe the shoes were just too big for anyone to fill. Maybe the show should've just been scrapped and something else takes it's place. Although I think Oliver would've carried it along just fine. And maybe the country has changed just that quickly in the past two years and Stewart might've become just as insufferable as Noah is.

Tried to get through a few minutes of the daily show's inauguration episode....it's become nothing more than a liberal circle jerk

Dude, that is a brilliant fricking line. I am gonna assume you are a deplorable Breitbart listener most of which are so much smarter than the average libtard. Is this Dennis Miller?

I loved Stewart, and I agree with Noah on a lot of his politics, but I just don't find him funny.

I don't choose my entertainers based on politics. You could be a communist, Republican, whatever, but if your show is funny, I will watch. Noah ain't funny.

I saw a stand up of his a while back and laughed my arse off. I have given him many chances, but I do not like him on the Daily Show. Hell bring back Craig Kilborn, he's not doing anything. I would like to see it done from a right slant, then followed by a show from a left slant. It would be cool and fair and balanced.

I had to look him up. Never heard of him.

Watched a few videos on YouTube. I'm not missing much.

IMO, Noah and his show have gotten better recently. Hell, the jokes write themselves these days so it isn't too hard.

Trevor Noah couldn't carry Stewarts jock strap.

Stewart was liberal but he was never condescending. He was sincere and didn't incite a riot at every turn.

I'm a central leaning conservative and would watch Stewart everyday, I've watched maybe 2 complete episodes of Trevor.

I have no problem with John Oliver, he'll rip UK any chance he can get too. It's a comedy show, they are going to just say nice things for 30 min.
