T2 is a great direct sequel but it's plot is almost identical to that of the original and thus disqualified.

Huh ?

Also had an amazing soundtrack. James Horner is unmatched. The ability to make that strong a connection from 60s show to movie was amazing.

Both movies feature the machines sending a terminator back in time to prevent john connor from becoming the leader of the resistance. The resistance is able to also send back an agent of their own to foil said plan. The two then go on a chase across Los Angeles. It's basically the same movie. T2 just ups the ante by making the terminator more powerful and replacing kyle reese with a reprogrammed t-800 (though the hero is still outgunned by the villian). Both movies even end in a similar "factory" setting.
I mean come on, it's a pretty blatant rip off. I still love T2 and it it did a lot of great things, but it's not the GOAT by any stretch at all. I don't know what you're "huh?"ing about.

Ricardo Montalban makes a GREAT villain as most stage actors do.
The music score for the movie is awesome.

I love Star Trek 6. I think I might like it more than Wrath of Khan.

I only have it second because Bladerunner is my favorite movie.
But, not only is TWOK one of the best (arguably the best) scifi films of all times, but one of the best films of all time, regardless of genre.

No to best sci-fi of all time. Empire Strikes Back, Alien, Aliens and The Terminator were all better.
Yes to best Star Trek movie, by far. It still holds up great.
However, III has the best Star Trek individual scene when Kirk steals the Enterprise.
