Just finished the series last night. The last season definitely rivals it.

The main reason I quit watching BB Never made it past halfway through season 2. Loved season 1 but 2 just wore me down. Just didn't feel the same.

In the process of rewatching the series and just finished up with S2. I mean my God man. Between the heightening tension of Walt/Skyler, Hank's PTSD, Combo's death, the meth head family and that little boy, Jesse getting kicked out by his parents then meeting the love of his life...who then he awakens to her death. Jane's father's issues and subsequent plane crash. The list goes on. Don't get me wrong, I know its all necessary to the overall story (and things proceed to get much more badass in S3-5B) but Vince is a tortured soul to cram all these heavy issues into one season.

Meh, you have the Ice King in Adventure Time, plenty of Scrubs episodes, and Jurassic Bark and other Futurama episodes. All of which blow season 2 out of the water.

I just started Breaking Bad this past weekend and have two episodes left of S2. It was definitely slow at times and there are some just depressing things at moments. That poor kid at the druggies' house (the ATM machine people...splooge or whatever), plus the last episode I just watched I thought Jesse's girlfriend was going to help him get sober....NOPE, she shows him a new blend of H and crystal and she takes it to a new level and falls off the wagon herself....frick.

Do I have hope that it really picks up?!

Keep watching. I felt a little underwhelmed at the beginning and Season 2 is tough. The ride that Season 4 to the end takes you is really great TV. I mean really great.

Good to hear. Don't get me wrong, I still like S2...it's just had some really depressing shite in it so far.

I really wish that I could watch BB again for the first time. Such a fantastic show. As everyone else has said, S2 may be a bit slow/depressing, but stick it out and get to S4 and then buckle up cause it gets wild.

Can someone link the episode thread for Ozymondius? I tried searching for it but can't locate it. I'd like to go back and skim through that one.

I was hooked right away - I had heard the praise and Season 5 was about to start, so I binge watched and caught up in time to watch 5 as it aired.

In addition to Cranston (the role for which he'll be remembered) - Aaron Paul ended up being an happy accident. Although I didn't care for Jesse much early on, he grew on me. The intent was to kill him off at the end of Season 1 (and it was re-addressed again at later points) - but he impressed the production and creative staff so much, they kept him around.

Those of you who watched it all the way through - try to imagine it without Jesse after Season 1 (and, again, I was neither a big fan of Aaron Paul or the character Jesse, but I admit, it worked.)

Same. Agree.

I wish I could forget BB so I could rewatch it again for the first time.

Between the writing and Cranston's performance, I was continuously amazed at how much I was pulling for this...monster...to succeed, sometimes consciously, sometimes subconsciously.

I watched the first two episodes of BB when it came out and stopped tuning in. Caught in on netflix when it came out.

If I hadn't gaven it a second chance, what a mistake.

I'm rewatching some with my buddy. I need to do a full rewatch. Season 3-5 is some of the best tv I have ever seen. My addiction definitely started with season 3. It took me awhile to get through one and two for various reasons, but once you get to season 3 it's a roller coaster. I enjoyed all of the seasons for different reasons.

You stopped before the best half season in scripted television history IMO.

So there's that.

I'm one of the few lucky ones that started watching BB from day one and never stopped. The whole concept of a teacher cooking meth was just so interesting to me.

Probably because I was heavily into drugs at the time.

Well shite, I figured 35+ episodes was enough
I'll start back up again but I might watch a Family Guy between every episode.
