Trying to see if some of the old classic comedies are worth it. I’m a big fan of stripes, caddy shack, Mel brooks movies, etc… that are out of my generation fwiw. I want y’all’s opinion if it holds up and is worth the watch.

Btw revenge of the nerds is not easily accessible on streaming.

I’ll assume your under the age of about 25 if you have to ask if Police Academy is worth it.

It isn’t Stripes, but the Police Academy movies are worth watching if you like that type of humor from the 80’s. I’ve never watched Caddy Shack, so 80’s movies are pretty hit and miss with me.

This sentence hurts my brain. Police Academy is great because they always seemed low budget yet still hold up.

This. It’s still great.

Additionally, ROTN is on Hulu. It also is still “worth it”. Watched it a couple weeks ago because my baby is going off to college in a couple months.

Yes, that’s why I watched it.

It’s pure, stupid fun. So if you’re born post-80’s, don’t bother.

This isn't true. But not surprising since you also believe this:

there were definitely 2 or maybe 3 of them and they were all good.

There are seven Police Academy movies. Seven.

I do agree that the first few are all really good though. I think I stopped watching after 4 (Citizens on Patrol), and have only seen bits and pieces beyond that.

But the first and second ones are both good. And from what I remember, 3 and 4 are better than they should've been, although they dip in quality as you go along.

If you're any kind of fan of 80s type comedies, they are 100% worth it for at least the first two.
