Is Mr. Robot getting too trippy?

I'm starting to think we are headed for a St. Elsewhere ending. For those too young the entire series was in the mind of an autistic boy. I'm beginning to think every character is a personality of Mr. Robot and he's in a asylum somewhere.

I don't think it's that extreme and that everything is made up
I think it's more of a Fight Club/A Beautiful Mind where most is real except a few things in the guy's head

I think it's a brilliant concept myself. It's perception of reality through Elliot, who may or may not be a complete psychopath at this point - we just don't know enough yet. I hope the entire series is not happening in Elliot's mind, but we may never truly know what is real and what isn't.

Yea, I was worrying they weren't gonna get back to hacking shite for a while. But the end of last episode ended that

Everything I have heard from the creators/writers is that they don't want it to be a guessing game with what is real and what isn't after the initial reveal. But obviously it is spinning us in all kinds of directions right now

The storyline is kinda meh but good cast and acting

Yeah, when he started typing on that computer I felt super relieved.
Did anyone catch that the music during his imagined future was a rendition of Basket Case by Green Day? I thought that was pretty cool.

The show had an extremely captivating pilot and a very strong first season. But the more I watch, the more I realize how little I care about characters other than Elliot. Also, while it's totally believable that Elliot would be having a serious mental struggle right now, I want to see more plot, because that's why we were all hooked in the first place.

I've turned it off and had to force myself to watch the last 3 episodes. I know the first season was good and I don't want to bail, but I just can't get into it anymore.
