Caught a preview of his new movie "Patriots Day" based on the Boston Marathon bombing, and I started to think about all the 'factually based' movies he's been in:

The Perfect Storm
Invincible
The Fighter
Pain & Gain
Lone Survivor
Deepwater Horizon
Patriots Day

Am I missing any?

Yes, and it's time to take this to a ridiculous end. They should make a movie about the guy in the red sweater at the presidential debate. Show how all of his background came forward to make that one point in history. Mark Wahlberg: the Man in the Red Sweater.

Boogie nights deserves mention.

I don't think it based on one guys true story but probably a collection of stories from the 70s and 80s porn industry.

If we're being this loose with guidelines, then 3 Kings is on the list as well

See one man's struggle to become a successful rich lawyer who sits first row at professional championship sporting events in an ugly orange baseball jersey.

Mark Wahlberg is.....

Throw in The Departed and a couple decent comedies and he has a pretty good resume overall.

Shooter was based on a true story, but I'm afraid I can't tell you anything more than that.

I'm getting kind of tired of Mark Wahlberg and Peter Berg exploiting every American tragedy for the past 10 years. I actually liked Deepwater Horizon but they're starting to seem like money grabs at this point.

Deepwater Horizon was actually a pretty decent movie. I was shocked.
