Is Jack Black underrated?

I feel like he's funny in everything he's in
School of Rock is way up on my list of favorite family friendly comedies, Shallow Hal is a great movie, and Kung Fu Panda is awesome.
Also, his character in Orange County was hilarious, the fire scene and his convo with the cop is one of my favorite all time comedy scenes.
And The Brink has been great so far
Really, I'm having a hard time thinking of a movie I didn't like Jack Black in

I've always liked Jack Black and thought he was funny, and I feel like he does serious roles well too.
Envy was disappointing, and his acting in King Kong was pretty hilarious, but so was everyone else's (and that was kinda intentional IMO...the whole movie had sort of a 50s cartoony vibe).
I haven't seen Bernie, but I've heard he's great in it.

People talk about actors that are the same character in every movie they are in and Jack Black is the very definition of that.
I think he's funny so I am not knocking him, but I guess that's just because I don't expect too much out of him much like I do Will Ferrell. Just have to take both for who they are and enjoy.

I have never really been a fan of Jack Black and I find him very annoying. I did love Saving Silverman, though.

Bobby Moynihan has been my favorite cast member on SNL for several years. Guy would kill it with better writers. I still laugh at everything he does, but I think he's brilliant. Drunk Uncle, which he wrote, is hilarious. So is his janitor role in the spoof audition of 12 Years a Slave.

I love jack black. He's the only part of anchorman I found funny. I just watched the first two episodes of the brink on demand and it's great so far.
